Before we started, there are a few key considerations when purchasing land for our retirement. We gathered the list from our search, by talking to other land owners, and also to real estate agents. We had no prior experience on land purchase so we started from zero. It would have been easier if we had a guide as to what to look out for and key considerations when purchasing a land.
We were watching our spending very closely so we managed to put aside some money for emergencies, a rainy day, and/or retirement. Building a retirement piggy bank (retirement fund) is the hardest when there are so many distractions – car needing repairs, house requiring fixing, need a new laptop or mobile phone, etc.
Whenever you bring up the topic of retirement, people will always tell you that you think too far ahead or that it is too early to plan.
